Robotics Projects Development

A robot is a machine—especially one programmable by a computer— capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within. Robots may be constructed to take on human form but most robots are machines designed to perform a task with no regard to how they look.

A robot is a machine—especially one programmable by a computer— capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within. Robots may be constructed to take on human form but most robots are machines designed to perform a task with no regard to how they look.

Robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and range from humanoids such as Honda's Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility (ASIMO) and TOSY’s TOSY Ping Pong Playing Robot (TOPIO) to industrial robots, medical operating robots, patient assist robots, dog therapy robots, collectively programmed swarm robots, UAV drones such as General Atomics MQ-1 Predator, and even microscopic nanorobots. By mimicking a lifelike appearance or automating movements, a robot may convey a sense of intelligence or thought of its own. Autonomous Things are expected to proliferate in the coming decade, with home robotics and the autonomous car as some of the main drivers.

We can help you with

  • Research & Development outsourcing
  • Rapid hardware prototyping
  • Software development for robotics, UAV and IoT
  • Cloud integration
  • Low volume & mass production

Process

When you ask us to deliver the project we gather requirements for you. We create schedule together making sure everything is delivered on time. After a week of development we can already present your first results. Since business is constantly changing, at any time you can ask us to change the course of the project. We are used to changing requirements so we found a way of development that will not block your business. We make our projects using Agile SCRUM methods. So not only we can significantly reduce project price but also we make sure that project is maintainable and improves your business.

We help our client on every stage, from the idea to mass volume production.

  • Idea
  • Proof of Concept
  • Functional Prototype
  • Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
  • Certification, Manufacturing, Assembling, Testing & Shipping

Idea

It takes from 8 months to a year to prepare something from the idea to the final shipped product. We help the client to shape the idea with our engineers and software developers, eliminate typical conceptual errors, and then we come to the next step.

PROOF OF CONCEPT

The proof of concept is your first prototype. Its goal is to show that your idea is not just a dream but could become something real. During this phase, we focus primarily on the functions of your product: make the electronics work, create the rough shape of the product client has in mind, integrate hardware with the cloud, and create basic backend. Proof of concept is made with materials and electronics that are widely available. The main idea is to prototype quickly to check which conceptions work and which don’t.

FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPE

Between the proof of concept and the working prototype, couple intermediate versions appear. Most products have seen at least 5 prototype versions before the final one. Usually, we create prototypes with a specific purpose: one for the basic look and feel of the product (called "form study prototype“), one for the user experience (the “user experience prototype”, one for simulating the appearance including surface textures and colors (the “visual prototype“). The functional prototype, or working prototype, is a full simulation of the final product, from the aesthetics and materials to functionality. This is the prototype client can show during the business meetings, make a demo for journalists or use for a crowdfunding campaign. Once the functional prototype is operational, it’s time to move to the next big step and prepare the manufacturing phase.

DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLY

When client's prototype is fully functional, it is easy to think that he can now make more of them and start selling, or that it's ready for manufacturing. This is absolutely wrong! The prototype is using expensive parts (DIY boards and 3D printed parts for example). In any case, it would be way too costly to start selling it this way. This is when Design for Manufacturing (or Design for Manufacturability) enters the game. We help to optimize device and the manufacturing processes in order to lower the costs and make client's product actually manufacturable. Taking into consideration fabrication, processing, and assembly.

CERTIFICATION, MANUFACTURING, ASSEMBLING, TESTING & SHIPPING

Selling a few kits doesn’t require full certification, but as soon as the client wants to scale your production, he will need to make sure your product respects safety norms. We help the client through the whole process of certification, manufacturing, testing, and shipping by working with our Partners in New-Delhi, so the client doesn’t need to worry about this kind of things and may focus on marketing and funding.
